Mornings at The Bar with Jack Seymour
Jack Seymour
Weekday Mornings 6am - 10am

I wish there were some incredible tale to tell about my life, but it is pretty hum-drum. I was born November 16, 1970 in Willmar, MN. From birth to age 5, we moved to various cities, Fargo, ND; Muskegon, MI, Circle Pines, MN and then finally to Montgomery, AL where I was raised from age 5 until I struck out on my own at 21. Why did I grow up in Alabama? Because that was as far as Dad could get from his in-laws. Why did I leave? Because it was ALABAMA.

After graduating from Robert E Lee Sr High (well, it WAS in Alabama) I tried to spread my academic wings by attending Auburn University (it WASN'T Alabama) pursuing a double major in Communications and Theatre. I left school after 2 years in order to help my mother absorb some of the financial burden left to her when dad died.

When I turned 21, I headed back to Minnesota (it was pretty darned far from Alabama) and entered the Insurance industry. I found that it was quite rewarding financially - I was able to help pay College Tuition for my younger brothers - but I didn't find it personally fulfilling. November of 1994, in what some may call a break with my senses, I left 6 figures in Insurance and started making $5 an hour working at a small radio station in rural Minnesota. This is where I learned that money really can't buy happiness, but it does keep the roof over your head.

My first major "career move" took me back to Montgomery Alabama. As a child, I grew up listening to the very station that I came to work for as an adult. From Alabama, I have traveled to Burlington VT, Sioux City IA (a move I would not recommend), Duluth MN and most recently New Orleans. You could say that my move to Billings was inspired by Storm Surge. The reality is that while my home survived Katrina, my job did not. Because my wife and I are both originally from the snow belt, we decided to find a place that actually had "winter" (and NO Hurricanes).

In my little bits of spare time, I like to spend time with my wife - Tennille and our friends. We'll watch movies (I've seen "E. T." more than 50 times and still get wet eyes every time), try to tackle the endless list of "home improvement" projects that we set for ourselves (then call the professional to FIX my handiwork), work in the yard (we still have half an acre to finish landscaping), wrestle with the dogs and catch the race (root for the 88 and wish that the 42 and 18 would CRASH!)

Billings is a perfect fit for us. Large enough to have all the attractions we want, small enough to be comfortable (and 12 hours from MY in-laws). Now if I could just figure out how to get back to that 6 figure salary...

Weather with Marc Moraniec
Marc Moraniec
Marc Moraniec joined the Q2 team in April, 2003. Currently, he is the morning and noon weathercaster.

Marc was born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan (he is a die-hard, big-time major fan of his Detroit Lions). He graduated from Oakland University in Rochester, MI with a major in communications and a minor in journalism.

Prior to joining Q2, Marc forecast the weather for TV stations in Augusta Georgia, Peoria Illinois, Carbondale Illinois and Alpena Michigan.

Marc is single and is still on the never been married-but wants to someday-eligible bachelor list. He wants kids someday, and is looking for Mrs. Moraniec.

Marc enjoys all sports, including playing golf, hockey and racquetball. He also says he likes to cook, but definitely has a limited menu of things he can create that would be considered edible!

Rock 'N Country Classics with Scott Fredericks
Scott Fredericks
It all started in the month of February (we won't tell you the year). I was born in North Dakota (no jokes allowed) and fell in love with radio when I took a tour of my local Radio Station as a Cub Scout. I started my actual Radio career in 1977 working for a station (or it that THE station) in Plentywood Montana. I moved to Radio stations in Billings in 1985. March of 2007, I made the move to Connoisseur Media working in the Sales Department and then Management let me go wild in the studio on Saturday mornings with "Rock 'n Country Classics". In addition to the time I spend on air, I also serve as General Sales Manager and really enjoy the time I spend with my clients and co-workers.
Billings' Best Bets with Lynne
Lynne
Lynne Turner Fitzgerald began her radio career a looooong time ago in Billings at KOOK Radio. She worked in the news department as an intern, then a reporter and eventually became News Director. She loved the work and the insane hours which led to her receiving the "Montana Radio Program of the Year" in 1989 for "Montana Minutes", a series of interviews with pioneers across the Big Sky Country. Lynne also worked in television as a reporter, producer and news anchor. Lynne is currently the Executive Director of Community Channel 7, Billings' only Public, Education and Government Access television station. She has three children, three dogs, two birds and one turtle.
"Head Bar Tender"
Trace Taul
The Biography Channel presents... "Trace Taul. A Legend in his own Mind."
Back Story:
Trace grew up in a small farming community in rural southwest Kansas. Known for its abundance of career farmers and oil workers, Trace decided to buck the system and go down the career path where his heart leads him. And that meant the journey to stardom and showbiz via...Radio.

Radio Story:
Trace got started in the glamorous career of radio at the tender age of 18 when one of his college professors, in passing, mentioned that Trace had a nice voice and should consider a lucrative career in radio. Once graduating from the most recognized university in America, Wichita State University, in 1987, this spry young lad from rural southwest Kansas started his illustrious career in the small college town of Lawrence, Kansas in 1989. From there, this swashbuckling radio hero has entertained the locals from the State Capital of Kansas, Topeka, Kansas, to the hip crowds of Santa Barbara, California. Trace has even been the talk of the town in Kansas City, not once, but twice. And finally, this up and coming superstar has graced the airwaves of the biggest city in Kansas...Wichita.

You hear Trace everyday on The Bar. You just don't know it. Listen to the golden voice of Trace here
